Rent a Place is a digital rental agency. Our website offers 360 virtual tours of each of the apartments available and tons of additional information about each, allowing you to go through the entire rental process from A to Z exclusively online. There are no viewings in person required. Indeed, the large majority of our users are out-of-town students or young professionals who intend to secure accommodation before they arrive in Ottawa.
If you wish to submit an application for any of the rooms on our website, all you need to do is to enter your check-in and check-out dates in the availability calendar of the room or apartment that interests you, click on "Book Now", then follow the application process. Our team will get back to you within 24-36 business hours of receiving your booking request.
If your application is retained, you will be prompted to upload a few additional documents as part of our screening process. You might also receive a phone call from one of our staff members for a short interview and to answer any of your pending questions, before the final approval. At any point in time during the application process, you can cancel the transaction without fees or penalty. If your application is declined, you the transaction will simply be cancelled without fees or penalty, and a short explanation will be provided to you.
